Apple iPad fans across the globe are anxiously waiting for the iPad 2 release.  The thinner, faster, lighter iPad 2 was launched for sale in the United States on March 11.  Now the iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will be available in 12 more countries on 29th April.  The tablet will be launched on Friday in Japan, India, UAE, Israel, Korea, Malaysia, Macau, Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Turkey and South Africa.  iPad lovers held off from buying the iPad when Apple announced in March that they would soon launch iPad 2 across additional markets.

iPad 2 with Wi-Fi will also be available in China market from 6th of May.  It will be available at Apple Authorized resellers in China and will be available online through the Apple store.  Launch of iPad 2 in othr countries is the part of Apple’s strategy to make iPad 2 available to 59 markets by the end of first quarter.

The original iPad officially hit Singapore stores after four months of its first launch last year.  iPad 2 will be available with authorized retailers in Singapore like Best Denki, EpiCentre and Challenger. Local PC market in Japan was lowered by 8 % due to natural disasters.  Earthquakes and tsunami also contributed disruption of supply chain and the consequences of it will be seen in the second half of the year.
