Pre Ordering for iPad begins March 12th, sale from 3rd April
Great news for all gadget lovers! Apple has announced that iPad is going to be launched from April 3rd in the United States. As per the press release from Apple Inc., U.S. customers will be able to pre order the iPad online or from the Apple retail store from March 12th. The iPad tablet PC will be available for purchase in the UK, Australia, France, Canada, Germany, Japan, Italy, Switzerland and Spain in late April.
Fortunately the iPad pricing is still the same. iPad basic wi-fi model is available at a price of 499 dollars for 16GB. The 32GB iPad model is priced at $599 and 64GB at $699. The 3G wi fi models will be made available in end April for 699 dollars with 16GB, 729 dollars for 32 GB and 829 dollars for 64 GB.
The iPad App Store allows you to browse, download and buy new apps wirelessly from the world largest application store. Apple is launching 12 apps specifically designed for the iPad. You will also be able to run all 150,000 apps which are available in the App store. This includes the apps you may have purchased for your iPod touch or iPhone. Many developers are already in the process of creating new exciting apps which utilize the large screen, high quality graphics and multi-touch interface of the iPad to its maximum.
The iPad would be debuting with the iBooks app. It is available for free downloading in the US from April 3rd from the online App store. Apple partnered with many publishers for the iBooks application. These include the Harper Collins Publishers, Hachette Book Group, Macmillan Publishers, Simon & Schuster and Penguin Group.
Apples iBookstore is being considered as the best tool to browse, read or buy books on a product which is mobile.
The battery life of the iPad will be about 10 hours, however it depends on usage, device settings and other factors.
